Spring has Sprung! Enjoy the wonderful outdoors while hiking the beautiful Appalachian trail or one of the many fantastic hikes in northwest CT’s Litchfield county. It is the perfect time to plan a hiking get-a-away weekend.  Cornwall Inn is just a short drive to several Appalachian Trail heads and many, many other fantastic hikes making us the perfect spot for your home base.  You will leave in the morning satisfied from our hearty continental breakfast featuring Mark’s homemade granola. Shuttle service for a fee is available with advance reservations.

A wonderful country Inn with all the comforts of home

The Cornwall Inn has become my home away from home. Recently sold my house in Litchfield and presently in the market searching for my forever home, while doing so I enjoy my stay at the Inn. The accommodations are clean, very comfortable and the Inn keepers, Stacey and Mark are hospitable hosts that provide excellent customer satisfaction.

A Gem in a Beautiful part of the USA

The Cornwall Inn was just a one night stop for us on our way from NYC to Massachusetts. Communication prior to our arrival was quick and clear. We arrived after check-in time, but easily found instructions and our room. The room was facing the road, but it was very quiet. The bed was comfortable with wonderful sheets! We had a great nights sleep. The continental breakfast the next morning had a nice assortment of fresh fruit, homemade bread, yogurt and cereal. The onsite manager was very friendly and helpful, pointing out a hiking trail for us before we drove north. The area around Kent is just beautiful with small New England villages dotting the landscape. Cornwall Inn is a nice homebase to explore the area!
