Or, perhaps, you have family living in this beautiful part of the state that you are visiting for a holiday or special occasion but prefer not to infringe on their personal space. In either case, the Cornwall Inn is the perfect place for your visit to northwest Connecticut.

We are located a short drive from Canterbury, Frederick Gunn, Hotchkiss, Kent, Marvelwood, MIllbrook, Salisbury, South Kent, and Trinity-Pawling Schools. Whether you are touring, attending a reunion, or coming in for Parents Weekend, we are a comfortable home base for you and your family.

Visiting Family

Are you visiting family in Cornwall, Kent, Warren, Sharon or any of the surrounding towns? If you love your family but also love your personal space, the Cornwall Inn is the perfect place to retreat to after busy day with the family. Each morning you can start your day with a quiet cup of coffee and light breakfast giving you time to ease into a day filled with active grandchildren/nieces and nephews, holiday spirit and large family gatherings. When you return, grab a cup of tea and relax with a book or sip on a complimentary glass of wine and recap the days events with your partner.

Cornwall in September

A girl friend qnd I stayed in the periwinkle room which has two full size beds. The breakfast was lovely and more than we usually eat. There was homemade bread each day, hard boiled eggs, amazing homemade granola and plenty of fruit and yogurt. Mark gave us great suggestions for day trips in the area. We enjoyed the hike around Kent Falls especially, and local restaurants. The room was clean and the beds comfy. In the last week of September the leaves were just beginning to turn, a treat for this Texan nonetheless. We would stay again with our husbands.

A Gem in a Beautiful part of the USA

The Cornwall Inn was just a one night stop for us on our way from NYC to Massachusetts. Communication prior to our arrival was quick and clear. We arrived after check-in time, but easily found instructions and our room. The room was facing the road, but it was very quiet. The bed was comfortable with wonderful sheets! We had a great nights sleep. The continental breakfast the next morning had a nice assortment of fresh fruit, homemade bread, yogurt and cereal. The onsite manager was very friendly and helpful, pointing out a hiking trail for us before we drove north. The area around Kent is just beautiful with small New England villages dotting the landscape. Cornwall Inn is a nice homebase to explore the area!
